Workshop Description
Weds. Nov 1st 9:30 am - 3:30pm (MoCo School Day Off) Ages: 10-15 Instructor: Karen Giacopuzzi Cost: $90 In EngineHeads you'll learn about the inner life of the Internal Combustion Engine. Among other topics, we'll cover 2 vs 4 stroke engines, we'll test out a muffler and you'll build a small 3D printed piston and cylinder model. After lunch we'll take apart a chainsaw engine. We also have a lot of other appliances with electric motors we can take apart and compare it to. I don't run this workshop very often because I need to have an engine to take apart. This is a rare opportunity for kids who are curious about how things work and don't mind being outside, doing fun, messy work. At the end of the day we'll run my super awesome Jensen model steam engines and have ice pops. Family members are of course invited.
