Workshop Description

Instructor: Noah Elazar Python is not only a great for kids, it's also the most widely used programming language in the world.  In this camp you'll make a brick breaker-style game using Python and Pygame. You will learn the building blocks of programming, as well as advanced techniques important in game development. At the end of the week, you will have a game that they not only programmed yousrself, but also customized to make it your own. This workshop requires a laptop or PC (macs are fine). We suggest you bring your own so you can install the software with us then keep using it after camp.  We can also loan you a laptop to use here. A tablet or Chromebook will not work. Ages 11-15 Screentime Rating: 100% Tech Resume Skills: Introduction to the Python programming language, An understanding of the elements of game development. Gadget Lab is a small business and we cannot offer refunds. If you need to cancel we'll do our best to find another student to fill the slot. If we can find a replacement we'll send a full or pro-rated refund minus a $35 cancellation fee.
