Workshop Description

For Families and Kids. Kids under 10 will need a parent or older sibling. $35 Family, $20 individual Kids. If you are paying for individuals ($20) skip to manual payment online and send a payment to Karen@Gadgetlab.org on PayPal or bring a check or cash to the workshop. Kids 6-9 must come with a parent or teenage sibling. Kids 10 and over don't need a parent (but it's a lot of fun to do this as a family!) Saturday, November 11th 10 am -12pm If there's enough interest I'll add an afternoon session at 1:30 I'm going to pay for teenage helpers. All other proceeds will be donated to Tommy's Pantry in Takoma Park. (https://tommyspantry.org). We've got printers, laptops, desktops, cameras, audio equipment and more. We'll fire up the popcorn machine so snacks are included. We'll start off with a presentation of what's inside a desktop computer. You'll be looking for similar components in the laptops and cell phones. We'll also do a quick preview of what's in a printer and how to safely take things apart. We'll provide goggles and drivers and rubber gloves. Please bring your own gloves if you have them. If you bring your own drivers, please mark them in advance. Note: the printers and audio equipment have been outside under our solar panels. Sometimes a family of bugs or slugs makes a home in them. : )

Cancellation Policy

Gadget Lab is a small business and we cannot offer refunds. If you need to cancel we'll do our best to find another student to fill the slot. If we can find a replacement we'll send a full or pro-rated refund minus a $35 cancellation fee.
