Workshop Description
Ages 10-14 Tuesday, September 23 9am - 5:30 pm This one is from the Gadget Lab Archives. I have five remaining kits from my original Engines workshop. Some kids will make the crankshaft, other the cam set. Both are important mechanisms in internal combustion engines and other devices with moving parts. We'll start off with the project. Then do a take apart session. I have so many computers, printers, etc waiting to be taken apart. We'll harvest usable parts for the Gadget Lab Reuse box. We'll have lunch (Kids bring their own) and snacks (the usual popcorn and ice pops) then we'll head outside for lawn games. We'll play board games and or k'nex if we have to stay indoors. The last two hours we'll watch a movie and have popcorn - choices are 1. The Princess Bride 2.Any Back to the Future option 3. A G rated Disney movie. We'll take a vote. I'll order pizza and provide fruit and water, apple cider or seltzer. Pickup will be at 5:30 pm. We need at least 3 participants to run this camp so call in some friends!
